On December 6, 2024, at the plenary session of the 8th International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference "Professionalism of a Teacher in the Context of Educational Innovations", the coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module "European Practices in Media Education" Olena Ishutina presented a report
"New Horizons of Media Education: Transformation of EU and Ukrainian Policies in the Context of Digitalization". The event brought together leading experts and scholars to discuss current trends and prospects for developing the educational space.
The main theses of the speech included: analysis of modern educational policies in the field of media literacy in European countries, a comparative review of approaches to the implementation of media education strategies in the EU and Ukraine, challenges and opportunities for the development of media education in the context of digital transformation
Olena Ishutina emphasized the importance of a comprehensive approach to media education, which considers the latest technological changes and the needs of the modern information society. Special attention was paid to the mechanisms for adapting media education methods to new social and communication realities in Ukraine.
