Toolkit “Implementation of EU Media Educational Practices into the Teacher Training”

The team of the project “EU Practices in Media Education” (101085162 – EUPinMEd ERASMUS-JMO-2022-MODULE) prepared and published a toolkit (didactic materials) “Implementation of EU Media Educational Practices into the Teacher Training”.

The publication contains 4 parts, namely: theoretical and legislative foundations of media education in Europe; the role of media literacy in the digital age; media education in the system of social communications; media education practices in the training of primary school teachers, in which theoretical material is combined with methodological advice, digital resources and practical tasks. The toolkit also contains a glossary, in which the media education semantic field terms are presented in Ukrainian and English.

The toolkit “Implementation of EU Media Educational Practices into the Teacher Training” will be a useful resource for a wide range of users: higher education teachers who train future teachers, students of pedagogical specialties, practicing teachers, and public activists interested in media education issues. The materials of the manual can be used both for formal education within the framework of academic courses and for informal education during training, seminars, and other educational events.
