Participation in the scientific and practical conference on infomedia literacy in Sumy
On May 15, 2024, members of the "European Practices of Media Education" project team took part in the 1st Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Infomedia Literacy: Challenges and Development Strategies in the Era of Digitalization", which was held at the Laboratory of Infomedia Literacy of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko
The conversation was attended by both media theoreticians and practicing educators, who discussed topical issues of media education and the development of media literacy, shared their experience of implementing media education projects, implementing media education courses in educational institutions, and integrating media education into the educational process.
Separately they discussed the issue of using artificial intelligence in the conditions of digital transformation of education and practical cases of using artificial intelligence in the teacher's professional activity.
The Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Infomedia Literacy: Challenges and Development Strategies in the Era of Digitalization", bringing together scientists, teachers, and media experts to discuss current issues of infomedia literacy, exchange experience and determine effective strategies for its development in the conditions of digital transformation, plays an important role in strengthening media literacy and media culture in society, contributes to the establishment of cooperation and consolidation of efforts of educators to create a safe and favourable infomedia educational space in Ukraine.
