Defense of the Doctoral Dissertation in the Context of Implementing the Project "EU Practices in Media Education"

Olena Ishutina defended her doctoral dissertation in the specialty 13.00.04 - Theory and Methodology of Professional Education.

The dissertation research "Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Forming Media Pedagogical Competence of Future Primary School Teachers" directly correlates with the scientific objectives of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module project "EU Practices in Media Education" (Grant Agreement No. 101085162 – EUPinMEd).

The scientific work addresses the relevant issue of training pedagogical staff in media education. The author presented a comprehensive study of theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of forming media pedagogical competence of future primary school teachers. Special attention in the dissertation is given to the analysis of European educational practices and comparative research of regulatory documents in the field of media education.

Olena Ishutina's dissertation is a significant contribution to the development of domestic media education, which fully corresponds to the mission of the "European Practices of Media Education" project – studying European experience and expanding knowledge about EU values and standards in the field of media literacy.
